When the leading minds of the European label and identification industry come together, the discussion goes far beyond printing technologies and materials. It is about the future of industry, digitalization, sustainability, and global supply chains. At the place where new ideas emerge, partnerships grow, and innovations are shaped, robos-labels was proudly represented at the end of May: the FINAT European Label Forum 2026 in Seville, Spain.
Europe’s most important annual event for the label industry brought together 265 delegates from 24 countries and provided valuable insights into the future development of the label and packaging sector. For robos-labels, the event was particularly successful. Two of our submitted identification solutions received the prestigious “Highly Recommended” distinction in the renowned FINAT Label Competition. This recognition highlights our commitment to quality, innovation, and technical excellence in demanding industrial labeling applications.

Where Europe’s Label Industry Shapes the Future

The FINAT European Label Forum is widely recognized as the leading platform for label manufacturers, material suppliers, machine builders, and industry experts across Europe. Under the theme “Co-Creating the Future of the Labels and Packaging Industry,” this year’s forum focused on the topics currently shaping business decisions throughout the industry: economic developments in Europe, geopolitical challenges, resilient supply chains, sustainability, circular economy concepts, and the growing impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence in manufacturing.

For customers in industrial manufacturing, medical technology, automotive, and mobility sectors, these developments are highly relevant. Modern identification and labeling solutions must do far more than simply provide product information. They increasingly serve as data carriers, interfaces between people and machines, and essential components of digital production and traceability systems.

Two Awards at Europe’s Leading Label Competition

One of the highlights of the forum was the FINAT Label Awards 2026 ceremony. The awards are among the most respected quality and innovation competitions in the European labeling industry. In total, 204 labels and identification products were submitted by 43 companies from 24 countries as part of the 46th FINAT Label Competition.

For robos-labels, the results were especially rewarding: two submitted solutions were recognized by the international jury with the distinction “Highly Recommended.”

In the Hybrid category, a sophisticated front panel label developed for our customer Vector impressed the judges. The solution combines precision die-cutting, kiss-cutting, QR code technology, and transparent windows for control panels, demonstrating the capabilities of modern industrial identification solutions.

A second award was presented in the Tags / Non-Adhesive Labels category for an innovative non-adhesive hang tag developed by robos-labels. Featuring precise die-cutting, an integrated hanging slot, and a QR code, the sample highlights our expertise in creating highly functional specialty identification solutions.

Valuable Insights for Customers, Employees, and Future Developments

Beyond the awards, the forum provided Managing Director Simon Reuter with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with industry experts, partners, and technology leaders from across Europe.

“For us, the European Label Forum is much more than an awards ceremony. Direct discussions with experts from across Europe provide valuable insights into emerging technologies, market developments, and customer requirements. In particular, artificial intelligence, digitalization, sustainability, and resilient supply chains will significantly shape the future of our industry. The conversations in Seville gave us many new ideas on how we can support our customers even more effectively in the future. At the same time, events like ELF demonstrate how important personal networks and trusted partnerships are for driving innovation and achieving long-term success.”

Our mission remains unchanged: to develop innovative identification and labeling solutions that combine outstanding quality, functionality, and long-term reliability while meeting the specific requirements of each customer.

The awards received in Seville are both a recognition of our achievements and a motivation for our entire team. They demonstrate that technological excellence, passion, and close collaboration with our customers form the foundation for sustainable success.
