Team spirit, appreciation and shared experiences – our 2026 Team Day brought around 50 colleagues to beautiful Lake Constance for a welcome break from everyday work. It was a day filled with meaningful conversations, plenty of laughter and memorable moments. Surrounded by a historic shipyard, Mediterranean-style scenery and a relaxing boat cruise across the lake, we experienced what truly defines our company: strong teamwork and genuine connections.
A Day That Brings People Together
At 8:00 a.m., our coach departed from Kornwestheim towards Lake Constance. The atmosphere was fantastic right from the start. With music, sandwiches, snacks and cold drinks on board, everyone was ready for a day dedicated to spending quality time together.
Our first stop was Werft1919 in Kressbronn – a unique location steeped in history. Once a shipyard, it has been transformed into a beautiful waterfront destination. Despite temperatures reaching around 38°C (100°F), everyone enjoyed delicious burgers, fresh salads and a wide selection of toppings to create their own perfect meal. The most popular spots were right by the water, where many colleagues relaxed with their feet in the cool lake and simply enjoyed the moment.
Almost Like a Summer Holiday
After lunch, we took a short walk to the harbour, where the MS Uhldingen was waiting to welcome us on board for a scenic cruise across Lake Constance. Passing Austria, Switzerland and Langenargen, with the Alps providing a spectacular backdrop, we enjoyed some of the region’s most beautiful views. The turquoise water, brilliant sunshine and relaxed atmosphere made it feel more like a Mediterranean holiday than a company outing in Germany.
The cruise offered plenty of time for conversations across departments. Colleagues, apprentices and even former team members enjoyed catching up and getting to know each other better. One of the afternoon highlights was our popular Ahoi Bingo, where small prizes created lots of laughter and friendly competition. Ice cream, cake and refreshing drinks completed a wonderful afternoon on the lake.
Company Culture Grows Through Shared Experiences
A team day is much more than a company outing. It creates opportunities to connect, strengthens trust and reinforces the sense of belonging that is so important in everyday collaboration. At a time when companies compete for talent and employer branding has become more important than ever, experiences like these are an essential part of building a strong and modern company culture.
In the late afternoon, the boat arrived in Lindau before we boarded the coach for the journey back to Kornwestheim. We returned home with wonderful memories, stronger connections and already looking forward to our next Team Day.
