On June 27, 2025, 60 of our employees set off on an unforgettable company outing to Schwäbisch Gmünd. Traveling on the historic “Roter Flitzer,” we journeyed through the idyllic Remstal before hiking along the Limes Trail and immersing ourselves in the fascinating world of Weleda. Nature, team spirit, and exciting insights into Europe’s largest medicinal plant garden made this day a truly special experience for our robos-labels team.
Nostalgia on Rails: The Roter Flitzer
Even the journey was a highlight: our team started out on the “Roter Flitzer,” a lovingly restored railbus from the 1950s, which took us through the picturesque landscape of the Swabian Alb to beautiful Schwäbisch Gmünd. The excitement was evident – Diana enthused: “I loved traveling on the railbus.”

Nature Experience and Delight at Weleda
Upon arriving in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the Limes Trail led us to the Himmelsgarten and finally to Weleda. Lunch at the café “Oh Mother,” right by the idyllic lake, provided the perfect opportunity to connect: salads, fresh bagels, and homemade cakes offered a culinary treat. Peter shared his enthusiasm: “I had great conversations with many colleagues and the tour was very interesting.”
The guided tour through Weleda’s 23-hectare medicinal plant garden offered fascinating insights into the world of natural cosmetics. Over 1,000 plant species, tincture production, and the adjoining visitor center impressively showcased how Weleda combines tradition and innovation. The engaging tour was, for most employees, a captivating journey through medicinal plants and their effects.
Action and the Return Trip: The XXL Forest Marble Run
After the informative tour, we hiked through the Taubental, accompanied by the sound of rolling wooden marbles on the XXL forest marble run. Along the way, we learned about the life cycle of a tree in a playful manner and discovered 33 stations along the NATURATUM forest experience trail, providing information about the forest and its inhabitants.
In the afternoon, the Roter Flitzer took us back to Kornwestheim. The day offered plenty of room for conversations, new impressions, and connection outside of everyday work—an experience that strengthened our team and will certainly be remembered for a long time.
