The multilayer labels consist of several layers and this way they can store numerous information like e.g. consumer information or also hidden information like codes for sweepstakes or authenticity proofs.

Contrary to a single-layer labels, the multilayer labels offer two additional printable pages, which allows for significantly more information to be provided. This way in the inner part of these products a variety of information, for example in form of different language variants, can be placed. By that many products can be labeled with just one label during the manufacturing process, which minimizes the stocks as well as massively simplifies the stock management.
Regarding the provided space the multilayer labels are between a single-layer label and a booklet label, they offer the best possible flexibility and will be adjusted individually to the customer’s requirements. This happens by using suitable special materials by leading manufacturers, individual die-cutting forms and premium adhesives.

Individual specificity of the multilayer labels
The multilayer labels consist of two label layers one above the other. The carrier label (lower layer) is provided with a permanent adhesive. The cover label (upper layer) can be released from the carrier label up to a fixed edge (peel-off) and resealed. Between the both layers a release-lacquer will be applied, which weakens the adhesive features of the cover label to be able to separate both layers.
All three pages can be imprinted in color. The backside of the carrier label cannot be imprinted because it is covered with the adhesive. The cover label can be equipped with diverse matte, glossy and pleasant to touch lacquers, which allows to achieve special optic and haptic effects additionally. To open and reseal the multilayer labels easily also different opening possibilities can be chosen like e.g. adhesive-free areas or corner cutouts.
