We typically develop solutions for the technical industry, medical technology and automotive. Their labeling products contain specific information and fulfil special requirements. Labels and stickers that you encounter in everyday life can also be very funny and original.

That’s why we wanted to make a product on the side that is really fun and doesn’t have to fulfil any demanding requirements, but should simply spread good mood.

A sheet of labels with motifs whose sole purpose is to beautify things and delight our customers and employees. But because labels and their marketing are our business, we’ll still tell you what else is behind this project.

How robos-labels came up with the duck

In 2021, a completely new logo was developed by the Zeughaus agency from Feldkirch/Austria as part of a relaunch. During the development phase, the visual element of the current logo was fondly called ‘duckling’ because the stylized label roll is also somewhat reminiscent of a duck.

Our Marketing couldn’t get this likeable component of our logo out of their heads and this led to the illustrative version of a duckling, which is now reminiscent of our logo in reverse. Since then, this small, likeable figure has been used in internal communication and for the publicizing of events. Event-related illustrations incorporating the duckling were created for team activities. The main character is also a Tic-Tac-shaped little man, whose curves are reminiscent of a label in the broadest sense.

The duckling becomes independent

Once the duckling has been released, it can now be found on employees’ t-shirts. The funny sticker sheet with duckling variations is now available as a give-away to beautify all sorts of things and objects for anyone who enjoys sticking.

How duckling and co. came to be on the sticker sheet

The collected illustrations were printed digitally in 4C Euroscale in a run of 1500. The material used was an adhesive paper with a smooth surface that can be removed from the substrate after application. The sticker sheets were then processed on the digital laser die-cutting system so that the individual motifs could be removed from the sheet along a die-cutting contour.

Art and adhesive power

Berlin-based illustrator Neele Ludwig is responsible for the likeable illustrations. She develops and designs the colorful illustrations based on the ideas of robos-labels marketing, depicting planned team activities and locations. In the meantime, a “persistent connection” has developed between the company and the artist.
